Looking at Kubwa from the eyes of an old timer!!!

Having spent close to 18 years in Kubwa i without doubt have what i termed #KubwaCredibility (follow trend on twitter). I knew when Kubwa was still a virgin until in my watchful eyes she was “disvirgined”!! Yes Kubwa some years ago was a typical virgin, and what you may call a fallow land. There were few houses, cars, and people. I vividly remember then we only have phase 2 site 1, phase 2 site 2, PW, Federal Housing, Kubwa Village.

Sweet memories I remember it was all fun to trek from 2:1 to Kubwa village market just to buy vegetables or onions because “aboki” of course don't have it. I remembered in those days we will sneak from school and go swimming at phase 4 river, hmmmm...today i pass by the bridge and i feel sorry for ever stepping my feet into the water, because of how dirty the river has become.

I remember also then the only hospital we had was just a block called "kubwa General Hospital" located in phase 4 beside GSS Kubwa (AKA BLACK AND WHITE), oh Black and White is my alma mater!

PW then had the highest number of "hard guys" (bad boys) in kubwa, (i don't know about now) every fight then is usually found a PW boy involved...lol

 Berger camp at that time was a jewel, because of the stable power supply they enjoy, those of us living close to camp will trek go there every Thursdays to watch on Television, Mexican soap operas like the Rich Also Cry and Marie D' los Angeles.

Hmmm.. I also remembered then, the Gwaris would walk about on Saturdays looking for "work" clearing grasses or make heaps for money.
